Ron Rancourt | DRUMS

Ron has been active in the Ottawa music scene for more than ten years, playing in the styles of blues, soul, gospel, funk and jazz. His varied experience and tasteful style make him desirable to work with. Since 1993, Ron has performed live and in studio with Evolutions, Big Soul Project, Karen Lahaise, Capcity Cohort and Sonic Blue.

While backing up the community gospel choir Big Soul Project, he celebrated the launch and closing ceremonies of the 2004 United Way Campaign and opened up for the legendary Blind Boys of Alabama. Ron's musical approach to soloing adds richness to the songs and compositions of Sonic Blue.
